  • That’s a tricky one, how longs a piece of string! So we like to answer this on a sliding scale. The fitter you are the easier it will be, the easier it is the more you’l enjoy it. On a scale from one to ten, with one being an easy day hike of about four hours, to a ten being a week along the Kokoda track, our Nepal adventure would be a six or seven.

We also hold day trips in our local areas which is a great way to meet your crew and smash us with questions. At the end of the day we’ll let you know if you’r on track with fitness.

All this said it is long days hiking so be prepared and train, train, train.

  • A good level of fitness with a serious commitment to pre-trek training which involves four to five weekly sessions of walking up hills or stairs. Lots of leg work. The hardest part is backing it up day after day so train, train, train.

  • Traveling light is always a great option. When in Nepal and along the Annapurna circuit you can experience lots of different weather conditions, So it’s good to pack layers. We can guide you and supply you with a list of things you may need. There’s an image on the forms/checklists page under “Trek Planning!”

  • It’s totally up to you! You’r more than welcome to be self sufficient and carry everything you need. If this is not your jam, you can pay one of the amazing porters on your trip to carry your main pack and you hike with a smaller day pack. It’s a great idea as it lightens your load, gives back to the local Nepalese community and creates an amazing bond with your porter. The cost for a porter is approximately $200 to $300 AUD this includes a tip.

  • Considering that you are up in the mountains the accommodation is of a very good standard. You will sleep in a bed every night with a doona and pillow.

  • The highest point we walk to on this trek is 3,630m at Mulde HIl.

  • The Nepalese are very laid back, gentle, friendly and caring people. With neighbours India and China, the Nepalese have their own unique culture which appears not to have changed in thousands of years.

  • Considering everything is carried on the trek by horse or by porter, the food is delicious. You will have a mix of Nepalese food such as vegetarian curries, mo mos, Dahl and rice, along with western dishes such as roast chicken and pizzas.

  • Food is included on the trek but not before or after while we are in the cities of Kathmandu and Pokhara. You will need to bring some extra spending money for this, for buying personal items along the way and for Paragliding for those who want to partake.

  • October and November is trekking season and you can generally expect warm sunny days walking in shorts and t-shirt. A warm change is required for night time and full waterproof gear is required in case of inclement mountain weather. A full equipment list will be supplied for every participant. Kathmandu and Pokhara have numerous trek equipment stores stocking very good quality trekking gear and equipment at a third of the price of Australian stores. You will have time to shop prior to the trek for any clothing or equipment you might need.

  • Quality trekking shoes with good ankle support is recommended. Wear them in well before your adventure, Good shoe are a mandatory.
